The SRES® designation that you see above is more than just a symbol. It means that we are Senior Real Estate Specialists®, and as such, you can be assured that we have the skill and the knowledge to guide seniors through the most important financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing or selling a home. SRES® members understand that trust is often the determining factor in the success or failure of their relationships with seniors, and we work hard to earn and keep that trust. With the training and the resources to work with seniors on all of their ever-changing real estate needs, we help seniors design a plan that will best prepare seniors for their retirement years.
We're entering an era in which today's seniors are starting to have different life experiences from the seniors of the past. As folks from the Baby Boom generation moves into its later years, they'll have many new life stages that seniors of yesteryear simply didn't have. For instance, many more seniors today and in the near future will be retired for two decades or longer. Others are choosing the option to go back to work later in life, whether out of necessity or out of enjoyment. Still others may experience an empty nest syndrome and will have more financial resources at their disposal. Whatever the case, we understand the life stages of seniors, and will work with you to make your golden years as special as you want to make them.
When making the decision to sell their homes and move, seniors have so many things to think about
that they may not have been aware of previously. We can help clear through the clutter. From the tax implications of selling your home to deciding where you want to spend the next stage of your life, from having a heightened awareness of home repair scams to something as simple as finding a trustworthy moving company, we can help. When you're ready to take the next step, why not consider taking advantage of The Perfect Pair's expertise in senior issues?

Two Scam Alerts:
Recently, two fraud alerts have come to our attention that you should be aware of.
Scam #1: The IRS has recently announced that it is partnering with three private collection agencies for the collection of back taxes. Unfortunately, this opens up a whole new can of worms for honest taxpayers who pay their taxes on time and don't owe a penny of back taxes. Scam artists are likely to come out of the woodwork as a result of this partnership; they may pose as one of the IRS' contracted collection agencies and try to separate you from your money. Keep in mind these tips if you receive an e-mail, letter or phone call from someone purporting to be working with the IRS to collect back taxes:
* The IRS does not communicate with taxpayers via e-mail, and they don't e-mail taxpayers about the debts that they will turn over to private collection agencies. Also, the IRS will never ask you for any account information like account numbers or PINs. If the communication you receive asks for any of this information, you should dismiss it as a scam.
* If you owe back taxes, the IRS will communicate with you via a postal letter informing you of the third-party company to whom they have referred your debt. It will also include other standard information, such as your rights as a taxpayer. Shortly thereafter, you will receive a letter from the collection agency telling you that they will be contacting you for payment of the back taxes shortly. Both letters (from the IRS and from the collection agency) will include the specific amount that you owe.
* If you owe back taxes, you will make your payments out to the IRS, not to the private collection agency. Any other directions for payment should raise a red flag that you are the target of a scam. Also, if the collection agency asks for the entire amount at once, be wary: the IRS will allow you to make installment payments over a three-year period.
* Lastly, if the IRS does turn over your debt to a private company for collection, you can "opt out" of the program and demand that the IRS handle the collection. However, keep in mind that you must work in good faith with the IRS should you choose this route.
Scam #2: The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has recently become aware of an internet phishing scam done in their name. Consumers are receiving e-mails purporting to be from the FDIC; the e-mails have "Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation" in the "From" line, and the subject line includes the phrase, "IMPORTANT: Notification of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation."
The e-mail goes on to state that the FDIC has received an application from your bank to "ensure your Checking or Savings account against Fraud, phishing or Identity Theft. If u agree with the following, PLEASE ENROLL in the FDIC protection system."
The e-mail further goes on to include a hyperlink that takes the user to a web page that appears to belong to the FDIC. The page requests information such as your name, phone number, Social Security number, mother's maiden name, driver's license information, date of birth, account information for your credit/debit/ATM cards, PINs, bank name and routing number, and bank account number.
THIS E-MAIL IS A SCAM. The FDIC will not seek any account information from you via e-mail or any other means. This scam attempts to obtain your personal financial information. Please do not provide any information via this e-mail or website.
